ATLANTA, GEORGIA(SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS-JUNE 14-JULY 13, 2025)-Strikers Desire Doue & Ousmane Dembele scored two-goals in last 10' of second half as Top-ranked & 2025 UEFA Champions League Paris Saint-Germain (France) defeats the 2025 Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich (Germany) 2-0, to advance to semifinals rounds of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Germans outperformed the French in the game stats but PSG scored the goals by Desire Doue(78') and Ousmane Dembele(90+2), to secure the victory, advance to the semifinals rounds, and face Real Madrid(Spain) who defeated Borussia Dortmund(Germany) 3-2, in the other quarterfinal match.  

Paris Saint-Germain went to the attack from the start, and after a long ball from downfield, forward K. Kvaratskhelia stole the ball from Bayern's Michael Olise at 35-yard line finding Desire Doue, who ran and shot a right-footed wide barely missing the left-goalpost for the first clear chance to score at 02:25 mark.

PSG kept the pressure and in another counter-attack defender Achraf Hakimi on a breakaway through the right-side field crossed a rolling pass to Kvaratskhelia who intercepted the ball and shot a left-footed hitting the outside of the net at 19' mark.

Three minute later, Kvaratskhelia in a counter-attack through the left-side field, passed it to Desire Doue inside the box, and immediately gave it to midfielder Fabian Ruiz who from the 18', shot a left-footed to the Moon over the crossbar missing a clear opportunity to score & put PSG in front in the game.

Bayern Munich answered back with a counter-attack on their own when midfielder
Michael Olise from inside the penalty box through the right-side field kicked a hard right-footed sending goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma flying and parring the ball away for a corner kick at 27' mark.

Paris Saint Germain kept the pressure from both side of the field with long ball from downfield through the corners in search of the goal.

Midfielder Kvaratskhelia, after receiving a long pass from downfield to left-side field corner and on a personal play, ran with the ball inside the penalty box and shot a right-footed from top of 6-yard box and goalkeeper Neuer stopping the shot with his left-hand for a save at 32' mark.

Bayern Munich answered back 6' minute later with a counter-attack through the left-side field, forward Kingsley Coman evaded a defender and centered the ball inside the box finding striker Harry Kane, who headed to goal over the crossbar for a clear chance to tie the game at 38' mark.

In stoppage-time and on final play of the half, Michael Olise sent a free-kick inside the 18' and defender Dayot Upamecano scored with a header but it was nulled due to an outside call by the referee and closed-out the half with PSG leading 1-0, over Bayern Munich.

Paris Saint-Germain picked-up where they left-off and began the second half with counter-attack through the left-side field, midfielder Kvaratskhelia passed a perfect pass to forward Bradley Barcola who on a breakaway ran inside the 18' and shot a right-footed but it was stopped by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer who parried the ball away back onto the field for a sensational save at 49' mark.

PSG almost increased its lead at 73', when goalkeeper Neuer in trying to clear the ball from outside the box hit midfielder Kvaratskhelia on the back creating a loose ball and striker Ousmane Dembélé battled with Neur for the ball and managed to kicked a left-footed to goal but it was wide out of bounce for a goal kick.

After numerous offensive -attacks by Paris Saint Germain, the goal finally arrived through Desire Doue at 78' mark.Midfielder Joao Neves stole the ball from Harry Kane and on a breakaway inside the 18', gave it to Doue who shot a rolling left-footed from outside the penalty box to near right goal post to put PSG in front 1-0, over Bayern Munich.

The Germans answered back 9' minute later with the equalizer with a header by Harry Kane but once again it was nulled due to an outside call by the referee at 87' mark.

In stoppage time and a final 2-play counter-attack by PSG, Joa Neves in a breakaway through the middle passed the ball inside the 18' to striker Ousmane Dembélé who shot a right-footed canon hitting the crossbar back onto the field, and 20 seconds later in another try through the right-side field, defender Achraf Hakimi ran inside the penalty box with the ball evading 4-defenders and passed it to Dembele who scored with a right-footed to the far left-goalpost to sealed the 2-0, victory for Paris Saint-Germain over Bayern Munich.

With the win, PSG advance to the semifinals to face Real Madrid who defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2, in another quarterfinal match to be played on Wednesday
July 09, at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford NJ.
