CLEVELAND, OHIO (SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT APRIL 27-November 08, 2025)-The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation unveiled last April 27, its 2025 Class of Inductees of world-class pioneers, Icons and music legends who have contributed in the evolution of sound of Rock & Roll.

The announcement was delivered live on ABC by Ryan Seacrest on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of “American Idol,” setting the stage for a sensational & global celebration of the music’s highest honor on Nov 08, in Los Angeles. 

“Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footstep. 

The 40th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 8, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Cyndi Lauper is a US singer and songwriter  who rose to fame during the 1980' for her unique free-spirit fashion & change of hair style, her powerful four-octave vocal range, and the infusion of pop with rock, reggae, funk and other dance styles in her music that made her so particular as an artist.

Lauper has registered 12-studio albums selling over 50 Million worldwide overall but her debut album " She's So Unusual (1983) became the quintessential of her career as a female artist achieving four top five hits singles on the Billboard Hot 100, with "Girls Just Want to Have Fun","Time After Time","She Bob" and "All Through the Night", earning her a Grammy for Best New Artist award at the 1985 Grammy Awards and a MTV VMAs for Best Female Video Award in 1984.In her second studio album " True Colors" netted  two more hits " The Little Track" & Change of Hart' topping the top-5 hits.

Lauper is also celebrated for her groundbreaking 1980s music videos such as "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," that has become an anthem for younger & future generation, and recognized one of the greatest song of her era for her significant contributions to music, culture and influencing a generation overall.

 

Cyndi Lauper accolades includes: Two Grammys, a Primetime, A Tony, three MTV Video Awards, Four Billboard Music Awards, Two American Music Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2015, she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lauper was selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025.​​​​​​
