TOKYO, JAPAN (SMIG-GLOBAL-SPORTS JULY 24-AUGUST 02, 2026)-

The 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship ended with the US Women's Lacrosse National Team Defeating Canada 16-4, to claim its fifth consecutive Gold medal /World title, and 10th overall at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

The 12th edition of the World Lacrosse women's Championship concluded after 16-qualified nations competed during 10-day tournament, playing 44-games and registering a 30,000+ fans in overall games attendance at Oí Stadium and Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium.

​

The Stars and Stripes dominated and went to the offensive from the start of the game with Eight different players scoring a goal, and Goalie Shea Dolce recording 8-saves to lead 8-1, at the half.

​

In the second half, Team USA picked-up where they left-off with an 8-3 scoring span combined in 3rd and 4th period to sealed a 16-4, win and secure the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's champion crown.

​

After the game, Ally Kennedy was awarded with the MVP player of the Tournament for her performance as a midfielder playing for the USA.

​

Five US players were named to the World Team after the tournament: Chloe Humphrey (Attack), Ally Kennedy (Midfield), Marie McCool (Midfield), Sydney Scales(Defense) and Shea Dolce (Goalkeeper).

​

USA were led by Sam Appuzo(3-Goals), Eliza Osburn Kenzie Kent and Ali Kennedy scoring 2-Goals) each and Sydney Scales, Izzy Scane, Madison Taylor, Brigid Duffy, Marie McCool and Chloe Humphrey registered one goal apiece in the win.

 

USA Top scorer : Madison Taylor (16), Chloe Humphrey (14), Emma Lopinyo(12), Sam Apuzzo (11), Ally Kennedy and Eliza Osburn score 10-goals each during the 6-games played in the tournament.
