Norway & • Brazil faced-off in a showdown match in round of 16, with The Red, White & Blue" defeating "La Canarinho" 2-1, with Superstar Striker "Erling Haaland "scoring 2-goals with 10' left in the game, advancing to Quarterfinals to face England in Miami.

Norway went to the attack from the start, and on first offensive play through the right side field, Alexander Sorloth crossed a rolling pass inside the box to Patrick Berg who score with a right footed but It was cancelled due to an outside call by Sorloth at 3' mark.

 

Brazil answered back 7' later with it's own major counter-attack through the right side, Gabriel Martinelli crossed a pass from the top of the box to Mathew Cunha who was brought down inside the box by Kristoffer Ajer for a penalty call by referee Ismail Elfath after reviewing the VAR.

Brazil' Bruno Guimaraes executed the kick but missed with goalkeeper Orjan Nyland stopping the shot for a sensational save.​

Both teams lock-up their defensive line the rest of the way to closed-out the half scoreless.

 

Brazil missed 2, clear chances within 3' apart early in 2nd half, when forward Endrick inside the box and all alone facing goalkeeper Nyland, shot a left footed missing wide near the left goalpost at 60', and 3' later, Rayan with a header inside the penalty box gave it to Bruno Guimaraes who kick a right footed deflecting off goalkeeper Nyland's left hand out bounce for another spectacular save.

With 10' remaining in the game and Norway keeping the pressure, Superstar Erling Haaland scored 2 goals to stun Brazil & the crowd in NJ/NY.

Andreas Schjelderup through the left side centered a pass inside the 18' connecting with Haaland who score (6-goal FWC-26) with a header hitting the ground inside the net at 79', and Schielderup once again through the left, pass the ball to Haaland who score with a left footed to far right goalpost for his 7th goal in the World Cup and secure the 2-1, win for Norway.

​

Neymar discounted for Brazil with a penalty shot at 90+10 to cut the deficit and closed out the game 2-1, for Norway.
