FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS-NOV. 29-DEC.06, 2025)-Striker Tadeo Allende scored a hat-trick as Inter-Miami FC defeats NYCFC 5-1, in the MLS eastern conference championship game, to claim its first MLS conference crown in club history, and during a sold-out game at Chase Stadium.
It was a very level game during the first half with the Herons leading 2-1, until Miami exploited NYCFC's defensive weakness in the second half and scored 3-goals to sealed a historic victory and win ts first MLS Eastern conference title in front of its loyal fans at home.
Inter-Miami FC went to the attack from start, and took 2-0, lead with striker Tadeo Allende scoring two goals his 6th & 7th goals of the playoff in the spans of nine minutes.
Midfielder Sergio Busquets sent a long pass from his own back down-field intended to Allende who was on the run and evaded a defender inside the 18, and scored with a canon right-footed to lower right-side goalpost in back of the net for his 6th goal of the play-off and put the Herons 1-0, at 14' mark.
Nine minute later, defender Jordi Alba sent a perfect center pass inside the penalty box intended to Allende who between two NYCFC's defenders scored with blooping header his 7th and make it 2-0, for Miami FC at 23' mark sending the fans wild in celebrations.
With 8' left in the first half, The Boys in Blue cut the deficit 2-1, when Maxi Morales centered a perfect kick from a free-kick inside the 18', finding midfielder Justin Haak who score with the header at 37' mark to send both teams to the locker-room with Miami leading 2-1, at the half.
In the second half, both teams locked-up their defensive line for the first 20' minutes until the Herons increased its lead of 3-1, through forward Mateo Silvetti
at 67' mark. In a counter-attack through the left-side field, defender Jordi Alba passed the ball inside the penalty box to Messi who immediately gave it to Silvetti who scored with right-footed to the opposite left-side goalpost for 3-1, Herons over NYCFC.
Inter-Miami dominated the rest of the way adding two more goals in the span of 6', with Midfielder Telasco Segovia scoring after receiving a back-heal pass inside the by Jordi Alba to make it 4-1, at 83' and striker Tadeo Allende added one more for his 8th goal of the playoff and a hat-trick to sealed the historic victory for Miami FC 5-1, over NYCFC.
With the win, Inter-Miami FC claimed its first MLS Eastern Conference title and advance to the MLS Cup to face Vancouver Whitecaps who won its first MLS Western Conference title as well in club history next Saturday Dec. 06, 2025 at
Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
