•)scoring two goals within 6' apart to send France to the semifinals & face Spain who beat Belgium 2-1, in the other quarterfinal match.

I France went to the attack from the first minute the whistle blew and on its first major offensive attack Dayot Upamecano barely missed opening the score with a header when he received a center pass inside the box to be saved by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou(Morocco) at 4' mark.

​

"Les Blues" kept the pressure and after 3-counter attacks later, Kylian Mbappe was brought down by Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco) for a penalty foul inside the box.

Striker Mbappe who is competing for the 2026 World Cup Golden Boot with 7-goals, executed and missed the shot for a sensational saved by Yassine Bounou (Morocco) at 28' mark.

In the 2 final counter-attacks of the half, France's Desire Doue stole the ball from Ayyoub Bouaddi(Morocco), and shot a rolling right footed from inside the box to be parry away out of bounds by goalkeeper Bounou (Morocco) at 35' and defender Lucas Digne shot a left-footed canon from 35-yards away(30-meter) hitting the crossbar to end the period scoreless.
