WASHINGTON, D.C. USA (SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS DEC.02-08, 2025)-The FIFA Final-Draw, Fixture schedule & stadium locations for the historic 48-team World Cup 2026, USA-Mexico & Canada was released during a 2-day live presentation by FIFA to the world last Friday Dec. 05, & Sat. Dec. 06, 2025, from the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC (USA).

 

The world shut-down for 2-hours each day for the much anticipated Final Draw and fixture schedule for fans of the 42-nation who already qualified, and 22-teams who still fighting for 6-spot to be filled during a play-off knock-out tournament next March 2026.

The significance of this main draw has become a FIFA World Cup culture where fans of the qualified nations and football (Soccer, Futbol) fans from around the world can make travel plans & purchase tickets in advance to watch their teams play as well other aficionados can make preparations

for business or leisure travel with families or business associates.

Prior to the opening ceremony, FIFA president Gianni Infantino presented to 47th president of The United States Donald J. Trump with the Inaugural FIFA Peace trophy for his contribution and involvement as a peacemaker.

In the Final Draw, President Donald J. Trump (USA), Claudia Sheinbaum(Mexico President), & Canadian Prime-Minister Mark Carney attended the event and opened the Final draw live ceremony by selecting the first 3-balls of the draw as Co-host of the World Cup 2026. 

 

The event was hosted by US comedian Kevin Hart,Model Heidi Klum & US actor Danny Ramirez while legendary & former English captain Rio Ferdinand alongside award winning broadcaster Samantha Johnson played Co-conductors on Friday Dec. 05,  of the historic 48-team final draw.​

US sports celebrities Tom Brady (7-Time Super Bowl Champion), Shaquille O’Neal(15-Time All Star & NBA MVP), Wayne Gretzky(4-Time Stanley Cup Champion/Ice Hockey),  and Aaron Judge(7-Time MLB All -Star and 3-time AL MVP), played as assistants in the draw helping opening the balls and setting the 48-teams in 12-groups of 4-teams each.

Andrea Bocelli (Italian Tenor), Nicole Scherzinger, Village People & Robbie Williams performed during the presentations as part of the entertainment in the draw.

Guadalajara Stadium and Monterrey Stadium will play host to two matcheseach during the tournament, with Guadalajara hosting play-off featuring New Caledonia, Jamaica and Congo DR and Monterrey hosting play-off involving Bolivia, Suriname and Iraq. The semi-final matches in both cities will be played on Thursday 26 March while the finals will be played on Tuesday 31 March.
