MIAMI, FL (SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS-JUNE 11-JULY 19, 2026)-"The Three Lions " Roars France with 4-goals in the first half as England defeats "Les Blues" 6-4, in a shoot-out match and in front of 64,478 fans in attendance on Sat. July 18, to claim 3rd place at the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2026, in Miami Gardens, Florida.

 

 

England wasted no time and went to the attack from the start, firing on all cylinder and dominating the the first 45', resulting in 4-0, lead for the "Three Lions " at the half.

England opened the score very early through midfielder Declan Rice, when he intercepted the ball above the midfield and shot a right footed from 23-yards away(20-meters) toward the right goal post in back of the net for 1-0, England at 3' mark.

"The Three Lions" kept the pressure and 15' later,defender Enzo Konsa (England) scored with header when he received a corner kick inside the box from Declan Rice to make it England 2-0, at 18' mark.

 

With 10' left in the game, forward Bukayo Saka scored two goals within 9' apart to make it 4-0, England.

 

Marcus Rashford (England), during a breakaway through the left side field and inside the box shot towards goal bouncing-off goalkeeper Mike Maignan back to Saka, who kicked deflected-off defender back To Rashford who play to Saka and score with left footed to make it 3-0, & 7' later added his 2nd goal with a left footed at 45+1, in stoppage time for 4-0, for the " Three Lions" at the half.

 

France came out all fired-out in the 2nd half & answered back with 3 consecutive goals during a span of 15" to cut the deficit 4-3, at 66'.

 

Michael Olise (France) through the right side field sent a perfect pass inside the box to Kylian Mbappe who score with a left footed for his 9th goal and 6' later Bradley Barcola (France) score from inside the box for 4-2, England.

 

Mbappe scored his 10th goal (World Cup 2026) & 2nd of the game to cut the deficit 4-3, at 66' mark to give hope the French team with plenty time to overcome the game score.

Bukayo added his 3rd goal for a hat trick at 87' through a penalty kick to increase the lead of 5-3, for England.

 

With the game clock winding down, Ousmane Dembele (France) scored his 6th goal in the world cup  to make it 5-4, in stoppage time 90+6, and two minutes later, Jude Bellingham who entered from the bench added his 7th goal at 90+8 to seal the 6-4, win for England.

England scored 20 goals total in 8-games, and reached the semifinals:

England vs Ghana : 0-0, Draw

England vs Panama: 2-0, Win

England vs DR Congo: 2-1, Win

England vs Mexico : 3-2,  Win

Top scorers for England: Jude Bellingham with 7-goals, Harry Kane 6-goals and Bukayo Saka scored a hat-trick against France with 3-goals.
