NEW YORK, NY(SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT NOV. 27-28, 2025)-The 2025 Holiday Season kicked-off with the 99th-Edition of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Apple featuring new balloons, 29 celebrities performers, 28 floats & 34 clowns across the 2.5 miles route to Macy's headquarter at 34street in NYC.

Celebrities performers that included Ciara, Debbie Gibson, Jewell, Darlene Love, Busta Rhymes,Calum Scott, Christopher Jackson, Colbie Caillat, Conan Gray, Cynthia Erivo, Darlene Love, Drew Baldridge,EJAE, Audrey Nuna & Rei Ami, the singing voices of HUNTR/X from KPOP DEMON HUNTERS, Foreigner, Gavin DeGraw, Jewel, Kool & the Gang, Laine Wilson, Lauren Spencer Smith, Lil Jon, Luisa Sonza, Matteo Bocelli, Meg Donelly, Mickey Guyton, Me. Fantasy, Roman Mejia, Russell Dickerson, Shaggy, Taylor Monsem, Teyana Taylor, & Tiler Peck rode their floats at Macy's 34St in NYC.

 

The parade was broadcasted live nationwide by NBC and co-hosted by Al Roker alongside NBC "TODAY" show anchors Savannah Guthrie & Hoda Kotb.

 

The 99th edition of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade began with opening performance by Cynthia Erivo at 08:30am for the first time singing " Nina Simone "Feeling Good" prior to the opening of the parade.  Fout new balloons made its debut Shrek's Onion Carriage, Packman, Nintendo Mario, and Buzz Light-Year joining the festivities alongside the standard balloons.

 

There were also 7-new floats that joined the parade this year :Brick-tastic Winter Mountain, Friends-giving in POPCITY, Master Chocolatier Ballroom, Upside Down Invasion: Stranger Things, The Counting Sheep's Dream Generator,The Land of Ice and Wonder, and The Little Float.

Thanksgiving is an  American tradition national holiday that takes place on the fourth Thursday in November every year, a celebration on being thankful and grateful for the blessing of the year including the harvest. This holiday is known for being a family celebration in private and it's also celebrated in public with large crowd attending the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Big Apple.
